Is your Mac connecting to the wrong Wi-Fi network? In Apple’s current instructions, checked October 25, 2026, open System Settings > Wi-Fi, scroll down, and click Advanced. Click the More Options button next to the unwanted network and turn off Auto-Join. This keeps its saved password so you can still join it manually. If you are currently connected, switch to your preferred network afterward. Managed networks may restrict this option. Current macOS chooses connection priority automatically using several factors, including your connection history; these settings do not provide the old drag-to-reorder list.
