Apple releases iOS 18.6, macOS 15.6, more
Today, Apple released updates across all operating systems. This is likely to be one of the final updates for all of their software because iOS 26 and macOS 26 are due for release in two months. From now on, it’s likely that this software will only get security patches. If you are a late adopter and have held off of iOS 18 and macOS 15, now is the time to update, as the coming update will be for the all-new software. This is as about as mature as iOS 18 and macOS 15 are going to get.
There are no new features in today’s updates. Instead, these patches focus on security, performance, and bug fixes. This includes:
iOS 18.6
iPadOS 18.6
tvOS 18.6
HomePod 18.6
watchOS 11.6
macOS 15.6
There have also been some security updates for older system software:
macOS 14.7.7 Sonoma
macOS 13.7.7 Ventura
iPadOS 17.7.9
