Apple Invites simplifies social event planning

Last week Apple launched a new app called Apple Invites, designed to make planning social events with friends and family easier. Available as an app on iPhone, it can also be accessed via iCloud.com.

While event creation is exclusive to iCloud+ subscribers (those who pay for extra iCloud storage), anyone can RSVP—even without the app, an Apple account, or an Apple device.

Creating an event is simple: enter the event name, set a date and optional time, specify a location, add a description, and choose a background (Apple Intelligence-enabled devices can use Image Playground to create an image). Invitations can be sent directly to contacts or shared via a public link. Guests can respond by selecting “Attending,” “Not Attending,” or “Unsure,” and they also have the option to update their name and add a custom response.

Apple Invites may not be groundbreaking, but it offers a streamlined, ad-free alternative to other invitation services.

A very similar app Partiful has accused Apple of ripping off their app, so if you are looking for something similar that also works well for people who don't use Apple products, you may want to have a look.
