Apple releases iOS 26.0.1, macOS 26.0.1, more

Today, Apple released updates across all system software. These updates include bug fixes and security fixes for the “26” software that was released a couple of weeks ago.

I recommend everyone who has already upgraded to iOS 26 and macOS 26 install these updates as soon as you are able, even if the release notes don’t specifically address any problems you are having. Apple rarely calls out each and every included fix because most bugs only affect a small portion of users.

And if you aren’t ready or able to upgrade to the new 26 versions, Apple has also released security patches for iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia and Sonoma.

  • visionOS 16.0.1

  • watchOS 26.0.2 (no, that is not a typo; watchOS 26.0.1 was released for Ultra 3 users in Mexico)

  • HomePod OS 26.0.1

  • macOS Sequoia 15.7.1

  • macOS Sonoma 14.8.1

  • iOS 18.7.1

  • iPadOS 18.7.1
