Apple releases iOS 18.6.2, macOS Sequoia 15.6.1, more
Yesterday, Apple released important bug fix updates to address some security flaws that were actively exploited. While we don’t know exactly what these security flaws are yet, Apple has said that they have been used to target specific individuals. So it sounds like this has been used in a very limited way, but it’s best to update all of your devices before these attacks are used more broadly.
There are no updates or changes in these updates apart from fixes for these security flaws.
The specific updates released today include:
iOS 18.6.2
iPadOS 18.6.2
macOS Sequoia 15.6.1
iPadOS 17.7.10
macOS Sonoma 14.7.8
macOS Ventura 13.7.8
To update, visit Settings > General > Software Update. If now is not a convenient time to update, I recommend using the “Update Tonight” button, which will attempt to update in the middle of the night when you aren’t using your device. This works better on iPhone and iPad than it does on Mac.
