  • How urgent is the request?
  • On what device(s) is the problem happening?
  • What is happening (not just what isn’t happening)? “The printer doesn’t work” isn’t as helpful as knowing the symptoms such as if you are getting an error message, if the printer prints out blank pages, or if the print jobs just disappear as if they are printing but nothing comes out.
