OS X Yosemite tip: Bring back full URLs in the Safari address bar

With OS X Yosemite, Apple hid everything in Safari’s address bar but the domain name of the current URL, only showing the full URL when you clicked into the bar. For most people this doesn’t matter. But fortunately if you need it you can return Safari to its old behavior. Click the Safari menu, click Preferences, click the Advanced tab, and check the box at the top to “Show full website address”.
