New solid state Home Button. Dust and water resistant to IP67 standard. Significantly improved cameras, screen, processors, battery life, cellular speed. Storage tiers are doubled. Stereo speakers are twice as loud. Lightning EarPods and Lightning audio adapter included. The larger iPhone 7 has dual cameras for optical zoom or depth of field.

Apple Watch Series 2

Watch Series 2 is water resistant to “swimproof” 50 meters. The processor is 50% faster. The screen is 2 times brighter. Built-in GPS. New ceramic body option.

iWork

Real-time collaboration for all iWork apps across platforms. Release date and pricing was not announced. Though my guess is that it will be released September 20 alongside macOS Sierra as a free upgrade for existing users.

Minor details

  • Earlier this week a new 2 TB iCloud storage option became available for $19.99/month. Other storage tiers remain at the same price points.
  • Nintendo to release Super Mario Run for iOS at a set price (not freemium) later this year.
  • Pokémon GO coming to Apple Watch later this year.
  • Many new color options for the Apple Watch sport bands and woven nylon bands.
  • AppleCare+ deductible has decreased to $29 for screen repairs and increased to $99 for other repairs.
  • iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are getting bumped up to 32 and 128 GB.
  • Many iPads have either had a reduction in price or received a storage bump.
