Want to free up a couple extra gigabytes on your Mac? Delete Garage Band if you don’t use it. While the app itself only weighs in at 375 MB, the support library is kept in the system’s Library folder and can consume several gigabytes.
Open Finder and go to your hard drive. If you don’t know how to get to the bottom of your hard drive click the “Go” menu and choose “Go To Folder”. In the field type a slash (/) and click the “Go” button. Go to the Library folder > Application Support. Drag the Garage Band folder to your trash can.
NOTE: If other people use this machine it will delete it for everyone.
