Apple releases macOS 10.12.5, iOS 10.3.2, watchOS 3.2.2, tvOS 10.2.1

Today Apple released updates for all of their operating systems. There are no new features or significant changes, but bug and security fixes are everywhere. I recommend everyone upgrade as soon as you are able. If you are a late adopter this is a great time to update to the latest versions because the software is quite mature, one of the final updates before we see the next generation of software updates with new features and changes. As always, make sure your devices are backed up before installing.

To update your systems

  • macOS: Click the Apple menu > App Store > Updates. After the page loads click the Update button.
  • iOS: Tap Settings > General > Software Update.
  • watchOS: First upgrade your iPhone, then on your iPhone tap the Watch app > General > Software Update. This update might take about an hour to install and will require you to leave your Apple Watch on the charger.
  • tvOS: navigate to Settings > System > Software Update.
